Need help choosing sunglasses?
Well I am asian. I have an oval shaped face. I’m fairly dark for a korean. a light brownish color. a little lighter than most filipinos. I have two glasses i am looking at. I found some oakley canteens (polarized) and marc jacob’s aviators. The aviators have a white frame with black lense, but the oakleys are all black. Which should i go with?

I’d go with the Oakleys for a couple of reasons:
#1. Oakleys beat all other glasses hands down in strength and clarity. Private Pilot Magazine had an independent lab test over 60 pairs of glasses. Oakley’s came out on top in every category. The US military allows Oakley glasses to be used as part of the standard uniform. There’s a reason for that.
#2. With a darker complexion, the white framed glasses may be a bit on the garish side- a bit too loud. You’ll want to go with something a bit more subtle so it doesn’t look like you’re trying to hard to be cool. Black glasses will stay “IN” longer than white frames.

I agree with other posters the melting point, and sale of real Oakley is the combination of clarity and force. Sure, you can get sunglasses with clarity, but shattered on impact, you can get lenses that are stronger, but … offering optical clarity much worse (which is often a headache). If you really like Oakley frames, but lack the means or because of prescribing restrictions, can not make a lens Oakley, to be an eyewear shop that has a cutting site. Wal-Mart. And as far as I know, Wal-Mart exterior does not support frames. Oakley has curvature very unique and most places can not match the curvature when cutting a lens. I think the last I heard was that Oakley prescription lenses are not availalbe more than -4.00 for most models. I just had lasik done on both eyes yesterday and i was given sunglasses to wear outside. They say they are polarized but my vision is very blurry when i wear them.
